Affa Queer is a project looking at LGBTQ+ poets who use the Scots language in their work. Starting with the work of Edwin Morgan, the research will involve looking closely at a range of writing by selected writers, seeking to give attention to the diverse ways in which different poets engage with the Scots language across their work.
This research is being conducted by Lou Selfridge (they/them), under the supervision of Dr Peter Mackay (he/him). It is supported by a Laidlaw Scholarship at the University of St Andrews, funded by the Laidlaw Foundation.
